Hi, i have a question about DSG 0AM software, how to tell if the software match the car?


i bought a new Mechatronic from internet with software they only ask for VIN to match the engine etc...

I received my new Mechatronic and i've installed and basic settings done using VCDS.

Unfortunately the mechatronic wont work on my CC and the DSG where changing gears very badly, shifting was horrible and gears slipping., Fault P177B and P177C.

Fredj, as i know, after replacing Mechatronic you should make Adaptation procedure for your gearbox. VCDS cable and Ross Tech site can help you in this operation.

And one more: As i read some text about module replacement, you need copy Work Shop Code from old part to new.

Fredj, May be engine & DSG ECU firmware upgrade helps. Did you send request to dealer with your VIN to reprogram? As i read before, your software version

Another thought: may be your clutches died at same time with mechatronic? What values do you have in groups 95-97 and 115-117? There is (sorry, didn't find english) (http://openecu.net/blog/VAG/461.html) examples of normal and abnormal values. Example for uneven clutch: AKG Closed (maximum physical travel distance for stock) minus Position 3 (when clutch may transmit maximum torque) = 5.7 (5-6.5mm for new uneven clutch). It means that clutch is okay.
